de’sendent Awarded WA Restaurant of the Year

We’re incredibly proud to share that de’sendent has been named Western Australia’s Restaurant of the Year at the 2026 Gourmet Traveller Australian Restaurant Awards.

Hosted in Sydney on 17 August, the awards celebrated the very best of Australian hospitality and marked 60 years of Gourmet Traveller. To be recognised among Australia’s leading restaurants is an incredible honour, and to take out the top spot in Western Australia is something our entire team is incredibly proud of.

The recognition extended beyond the state award, with de’sendent also nominated nationally for Best Destination Dining, while our Restaurant Manager, Joshua Down, was nominated for Restaurant Personality of the Year.

We’re incredibly humbled by the recognition and grateful to everyone who has played a part in our journey — from our dedicated team and loyal guests to the exceptional local producers who help make what we do possible. Their care and passion for Western Australian produce is something we’re proud to showcase every day.

At the heart of de’sendent is our degustation experience — a chance for us to bring together food, wine, service and atmosphere and share what we love about Western Australia.

This award is a wonderful milestone for our team and a moment we’ll celebrate, but it also inspires us to keep evolving, keep creating and keep striving to make the experience at de’sendent even better.
